Anyone have much experience using this for rigging purposes? I live in an area where a majority of trees are not all that big, removals involve more brush than large logs. My employer really isn't one for buying new equipment, and i'm looking to buy a rigging block thats not going to over kill and outta budget. Am i just being cheap (my wife would say that sounds about right) or would anyone else consider this sufficient for rigging (excluding negative rigging large pieces of wood)?

I only used one for a day, and it was awesome. It is nice to never worry about dropping blocks or having extra bulk of a pulley and biner for small stuff. I'm planning on getting one asap, the other thing is the swivel makes it so you don't have the rope running against the edges. If you have a few to spread the load, you would be able to take decent size pieces. I climbed a tree with Joe house and he ran it as the last of the set for the majority of that half, fast repetitions instead of huge cuts and it was fast.

I use one and have found quite handy. I do light pruning and in that application it's the bomb. When I got it I was surprised that is was what they said and all for whatever it cost. Although never having pushed it's limits I'm sure it could do more than I have asked of it. I say go for it. It's a handy good build for the tool box.

I've got several of them and use them all the time. I use them to brush out the trees until I get to rigging out bigger wood. I love setting up several in a sketchy tree to deflect the forces. Also great to use on a haul on the ground. The swivel action keeps your lines from getting tangled up.

I love the compactness and the lightness of it. I like to install it in sucker tops in trees like silver maples. It will hold a lot of weight for such a little tool. As long as you do not shock load; it proves over and over to me just how awesome and practical it is.
