Since I first established my company over 8 years ago, I’ve primarily focused on trees and presented myself online as such. Gradually I got into shrubs and hedges, but you might still consider that part of tree care.
For a while now I’ve been contemplating adding some additional side services such as lawn mowing, maybe mulch delivery and application, and spring / fall cleanup. Has anyone done something like this and how did you do it? Do you just start by adjusting all your online listings, website, and any advertising to now include those services?
I want to continue to grow my tree company and trees are still my primary focus, so not sure if this makes sense or if it could potentially be counterproductive. For me the appeal of adding some of these services is that they are recurring, which means some guaranteed revenue without having to constantly bring in new clients. The other thought is it might help bring in more tree clients, shrub and hedge work, etc.
