New suspenders

I'm thinking about getting a set of suspenders for my weaver cougar. Weaver offers them in elastic or nonstretch nylon. If anyone has used them can you comment on one over the other? Are they any good? I would think elastic would stay more snug, but I wonder if they would get stretched out of shape over time. I'm leaning towards the weavers because they'd snap right onto the loops on my cougar, but has anyone found other brands they think are good?

I have used the Weaver Elastics for years. They are awesome, inexpensive, and highly recommended...

I just recently received and started using the Monkeybeaver suspenders, and while I haven't gotten more than a few climbs on them, am pretty happy so far. I've never had suspenders until now, so it's new to me. In my work, I spend a lot of time on spurs doing fir removals with a big saw on my belt, and was looking for a way to spread the load on my body.

They seem comfortable and very well made, but that said I'm kind of kicking myself and wondering if those Weaver elastics wouldn't have been a better choice (maybe I should have asked for advice her first....). Non-stretch straps would seem to provide more support and be longer lasting than elastic that can wear out, but I'm already feeling like having a bit of stretch would be a lot more comfortable. Add to that the fact the MB suspenders are $100 compared to under $40 for the Weavers, then I spent another $30 on mini-carabiners to quickly attach and detach them from the belt and you are looking at over 3x the price as the Weavers which come with built-in snaps that also swivel, which I see as yet another plus for them. Sigh....

Edit: I've spent this year trying to really perfect my systems, and honestly I'm probably going to buy the Weaver elastics myself to try them out and compare.... so cheap, why not.
