No, I believe the tether itself is rated. That’s how nick made it sound. That all happened after my time using it.I noticed that too. I guess since it's attached to the pulley and the pulley is attached to the hitch cord?
It’s hitch only. Not oversight, just a different intent. They can’t really release anything and say it goes with the zigzag because they don’t make the zigzag.Does the integral pulley prevent use with the zigzag? If so, that is a serious oversight.
I can't think of a worse location to attach a second system than that tether....What's interesting to me is that the tether offers a secondary attachment point for another climbing system according to the closer look video at 3:06. All of a sudden the tether is life support. That's a bit different from other tethers I've seen.
All they did was copy Reons tether and added a pulley. What will they copy nextHowz about youz guyz? You frequently drop hitch tending pulleys while climbing? Despite Nick telling us we "need" this product I can honestly say that I have NEVER dropped a hitch tending pulley while in a tree. Notch seems to be trying to create a problem thqt doesn't exist, and then trying to to make us feel that we "need" this product.
A compact setup is muey importante to me and this thing is WAY TOO long to be anything but a royal pain in the ass in a tree. Could you imagine working down a spar with this 12 inch long, stiff as morning wood, monstrosity? Anyone who has had the misfortune of using a Reon Rounds tether will know exactly what I'm talking about (sorry Reon).
I don't know about the rest of you but I find a well dialed in Wrench set-up with a shorty tether to be the smoothest, sweetest, safest, most versatile, reliable and bulletproof SRT device of the market (thanks Kev) , and I find a well dialed in HC setup to be the smoothest, sweetest, safest, most versatile, reliable, and bulletproof DdRT device on the market...If that weren't enough one can easily bounce back and forth between SRT and DdRT mid-climb and you have a system that still remains king in my book..
This fusion tether appears to be one of those "the latest certainly ain't the greatest" products,. Sadly many will fall for the sales pitch believing that they must have this thing to be all they can be in a tree.....
