I’m seriously looking into this chipper for around $35,000ish Canadian. There is so little information on the internet about it, and hardly any even for the previous model. I would really appreciate any comments about this chipper in particular or Morbark in general. And what the company/dealerships are like to deal with. Thank you.

Morbark's the only manufacturer with a safety feature that'll keep incapacitated operators from being chipped alive that I know of.

They call it ChipSafe as I recall.

The technology may even be retrofitted onto older models now.

Puts Morbark one up on the competition in my book!

Absolutely love my M18R great service straight from the factory (I live in Michigan)

What really made me want to post and still makes me hesitate about buying the Morbark 812 is the massive difference between the amount of information I find online between Morbark and Bandit. It really makes me think generally people don’t buy that many Morbark machines; and instead buy Bandit. I’m big on reading reviews and lots of research before I buy...so it makes me doubt Morbark, even though some people say great things...but that’s the problem it’s just SOME.

One of my deciding factors on my first chipper was the Morbark weighed more than the bandit and then was told the bandit was built out of thinner metal
I would look up both dealers and check out reviews
Best service = Best machine
They all break down or need parts
The dealer can make the best machine become your worst nightmare

Morbark chippers are well built strong machines, I don’t think you’d go wrong with that one. I bought a new 18R from Stew last year. They switched all the model numbers last year maybe that’s why you haven’t found any info on them. I also have a bandit 65 great machine for the size, I use it for island and trail work. Just stay away from Vermeer.

@VenasNursery I'm considering that new 2131 morbark. Do you have any contact info for whose near us, I like to set up a demo if possible. Thanks
Tell Jeremy I told you to call him
He is awesome his dad runs the service department where I do all my repairs
I’ve never left any of my machines overnight
It’s the factory no waiting on parts and all they do is work on handheld chippers and boxers
Correction Rayco also now

Thanks Deevo! That’s good input!
