New buckingham retractable Gaff guards & quick connect Foot straps?

I just jam a 3" piece of garden hose on mine. Stays put on it's own and keeps from poking holes in my bag and it's contents.

I'm really happy with the Velcro lower straps from Buckingham. Wider= comfier and perfect fit.
That price is a little nuts on the quick connect straps, but probably worth it. Looks like a high quality buckle they're using.

Fucking Buckingham...
They sure know how to use existing products & act like they designed them..

I like the guard idea as i have those exact guards & have been scratching my head as to how they expected users to secure them after the cool factor of the magnets wore off & you realized your just going to lose them.. But $58!! $58, just for that!! That is downtown offensive considering you can buy one of those retractable cigarette lighter leashes for probably 2 bucks.. 10 tops for a reliable one with a clippy thingy!

I'm not too sure about the quick connect buckles though.. Yeah I'm always hollering about companies moving to the 21 century with webbing hardware, but i have a feeling that depending on where they land, they have the potiential to gouge or create a pressure point/hot spots... & Yes, again.. insane money.. for a 2$ buckle..

If anyone wants to know what the actual buckles are or where to find them, they are.... "ITW Nexus GT Cobra buckles" ..... I can't see them being any faster than the Velcro ones are to adjust, in fact you'd think they would be slower cuz you'd have to slack up the hardware, adjust, re-cinch, rinse & repeat, etc.. it all depends on what they are using for additional hardware though.

Edit- I'm wrong about faster. complimenting hardware design makes it so you don't have to thread anything. Still think they would create hot spots vs Velcro version. What a deal though..! Y'all see? Only $1,000 for the zombie apocalypse spurs! Hahaha.. imagine the new guy walking into the jobsite with those things.. Ok.. I sorta get it, Buckingham = green & high vis = saftey.. But seriously, does buckingham not visit the real world or is every lineman some zombie prepper.. you don't walk away with any other impression than silly zombie gear.. far far from the impression of a professional's gear.... The subtle green wasn't too bad.. but now we're powder coating the whole thing? Com'on.. Watch next year they'll have j1913 picatiny rail's mounted on them to secure chainsaws & be pushing the Poulan "Wild Thing.."

hmmm, confused about the "act like they designed them" statement, did someone else design these? I have had my "Silly Zombie Gear" spurs for over 10+ years hence the reason I still buy Buckingham. Second, what are you even talking about? You are speaking some sort of gibberish that none of us can understand!!!?

Sorry bud.. your probably alone in your confusion.. unless your referencing some grammatical errors, most ppl know exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about how every single rebranded buckingham item is being sold as if they came up with the idea themselves.. As if it's theirs & theirs only.. when in reality they haven't invented shit, they're just painting available, existing items Hunter Green & printing their name on it...

Example Buck Grab.. is just a rock exotica rope grab..

Buck pulleys = Rock Exotica Omni Block

I garantee they don't list those quick buckles on the spurs by their actual name.. otherwise ppl would realize how much they are over paying.

The silly gear I'm referencing, just came out recently & generally appeals to a certain crowd.. so I'm not sure how you had it 10 years ago..

I'm sorry you like to overpay for zombie gear, i didn't set out to offend the fan boys but clearly did..

I mean com'on.. gimmie a break.... were talking about paying $60 fucking dollars for what amounts to a $2 lighter tether.. Or 1,000 dollars for a spur set because they are zombie green. I bought those same exact spurs, minus the zombie apocalypse scheme FOR $400 A YEAR AGO..! I mean whats not to get.. what language do i need to speak..??

Don't believe the BuckGrab is rock exotica (patent pending via Buck?) And where did you buy a full set upper pads, foot straps, Aluminum climbers for $400 dollars?
