I am so excited today I received my first parcel from Treestuff (awesome service as so many have talked about before), with my first block and sling. ISC flame and tenex 10' sling, not the DMM block and amsteel sling. However, it's hard to describe the joy..speechless. O, Hitchclimber was the cherry on top. I love playing for work!

I was going to make a comment, but I think I'll just keep my mouth shut.

Ok, I am jealous of all you guys getting to fondle your blocks so I think I want to get one of my own now. I was thinking one of the ISC blocks, 150' or 200' of true blue, portawrap and a couple slings. Would I be better off just getting one of the kits with the ugly CMI blocks?

Watch it Roger, she's mine.
Nora's already fondled my blocks and we fondled the big DMM block TOGETHER!

Fondle that..

Oh bollocks

abovetheline, not sure whos kit you were looking at but i know wespurr and tree stuff will switch what ever block you want and just charge accordling, i have had them switch stuff in the kits before longer piece of rope ect.

Keep in mind that while it may be ugly, the CMI block, with it's triangular shape conceals the rope a little better. Providing a little more protection while it's in motion and while cornered in a bad position. On the upside, the spring block opens and closes much easier. Of course set it up so that the spring is "outboard" to mitigate an opening hazard. Not likely but do it...and like it. And try not to dry crotch your double braids. Have one end spliced so you can make your way to knotless rigging. Thanks Jeremy. And call if you're going to be out late. And change yo draws every day brah. Kristian will be shutting up now...
