My favorite tool.

I've been rigging with the GRCS for 4 years now and I don't know if I could work without it. Life would be way harder if I did not have this tool in the truck every day. Plus the amazing peoples that I work with are not just co-workers , they are my extended familly. What is your favorite tool ? How much do you love the people you are working with?

Nice, it's like your own mini crane:) Thats definitely been on the gear-to-get-list for me. It's a great feeling to have your work trucks packed with all the necessary tools to tackle (almost) anything you come across. It's very hard to say what my favorite one in the arsenal is; it is so subjective to the job. I would have to say my (3) Sena Helmets. They have changed the game. When they're in use, safety as well as efficiency goes way up. There is another tool I have to tout, however, and that is my norwood timber tool (tree jack). It allows me to drop way more trees from the ground that I would not normally feel comfortable dropping without a pull line. As for my guys, I do have genuine love and appreciation for them. They definitely feel like extended family. However, I have come to learn that it's not wise to let them know that TOO much or it will go to their heads. I try to keep it like Sonny in "A Bronx Tale." If you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about it :)

Well, the cats outa the bag now, Brady!
Lol, my guys barely know what facebook is let alone treebuzz. I employ older guys cuz they work harder than the young ones. I have found that the sweet spot is between 40 and 55 ;) These words are for fellow business owners who can relate.

On that particular job on te video we also had to remove 2 dead sugar maple in the front 90' trees a bit sketchy , while I was rigging the tree some landscaper grass cutting guys where working on 2 neighbors house for 1h30, they had 2 tractors, blower trimmer etc... I couldn't understand my team on the ground we had difficulty with communication and I was really stress in the tree because of that. It's actually the first time we have talk about buying the Sena helmets. Happy you pointed that out.

#1 Absolute game changer for us has been our sena units!
#2 Mini skid and bmg grapple

I want to see more of that mini rear mount grapple truck! Is the dump still functional on the truck? Is it permanently mounted or looks like it might even be removable? That thing looks awesome! I have a W5500 that I picked up with a 16 foot flat bed that I haven't done anything to yet because I wasn't sure what route I wanted to go with it. I'm thinking this might be it!

This truck is my second favorite tool haha. So yes it's removable , take about 15 min to remove but it's longer to re-install... at least 30 minutes. The truck can still dump when the clam is remove. We can also chip in the truck while the clam is install. The side of the box are actually doors that can open after we have remove the wood panels. We have several tractors at the buisness site ( Yes we are farmers!) so we open both door and scrape it with a bucket. That way, we don't have to remove the clam everytime. Both most time we unload the big wood with the clam. The clam has a lifting capacity of 2000 pounds , and has 11 feet of reach.
