Mounting a pulley for my moving rope system in a tree

I'd like to have a pulley mounted high up in a yard tree so all I need to do is pull my moving rope over the pulley and back down to my Zigzag. This would really simplify getting in a quick climb. I'd leave a light line in place as a bookmark when I'm not actually climbing.

Making a ball-bearing aluminum pulley is not a problem, but I can't decide how to attach it to the tree. The best way I can think of is a vertical piece of sturdy aluminum angle with padded edges secured with padded stainless-steel chain and turnbuckles at the top and bottom going around the tree. Each chain and turnbuckle assembly would have a WLL over three thousand pounds. The tree would be five or six inches in diameter where the pulley was installed. That would have minimal impact on the tree and would certainly be strong enough to withstand the climbing loads. All the hardware is readily available at reasonable cost. Is there a better way?

I would just leave throwline installed where you want the pulley, use it to pull up an anchor line with a pulley on the end, and your climb line through the pulley. Tie off the anchor line to that tree or one close by. Reverse the process to get lines out, leaving throwline in place for next time. If critters mess with anything, all you will lose is a throwline.

As well, Petzl makes wire slings or strops you can buy in various lengths you could add biners or pulley/ whatever to. I use these where I have to get back up into something over night or a few days later and just leave cheap cord or throwline installed in the rig - pull a rope up next day. Don't trust critters won't chew thru anything else but metal and enjoy the thought of them with dented incisors! Or is it the single malt again? Cheers

This is something to consider.
