MUTCF tour information:
The Illinois Arborist Association (IAA) welcomes you to the 2013 Midwest Urban Tree Care Forum (MUTCF). Since its inception in 2003, MUTCF has been providing students a unique opportunity to engage with industry professionals. Over the past ten years, MUTCF has hosted over 500 students from schools in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. We have found that 50% of past MUTCF participants enter the tree care industry and 80% enter the green industry. Many of those careers were instigated as a result of MUTCF. MUTCF is a three-day field-based tour and conference for students to interact with and learn from professionals and other students in the green industry, arboriculture and urban forestry. Bring your resume for a permanent or summer job.
Highlights of the 2013 MUTCF conference and tour include:
4/12/13 – Tour of west suburban Chicago, IL
4/12/13 – Dinner, career fair, trivia contest, and free raffle
4/13/13 – Tour of downtown Chicago, IL
4/14/13 – NEW FOR 2013 – Instructional tree climbing at The Morton Arboretum
Registration
All meals and events are included in registration. Student registration rates for MUTCF are:
$50 for International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Student Members
$90 which includes your ISA Student Membership ($45 value)
Lodging:
Conferees are responsible for their own lodging. The conference hotel is the Hilton in
Lisle/Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive, Lisle, IL 60532. P: 1-800-552-2599. Rate is $89.00
(+tax) which includes complimentary internet & breakfast buffet for up to quad occupancy, per
room per night. Room reservation code is CMUT.
