I can't speak about Greg, since I don't know him, but I will say that OLY is a cool place to live and work, if you are into a progressive culture, and big trees. Yes, we do have more than conifers. Mt. Rainier, Mt. Olympus, Mt. St. Helens, other cascade peaks, salt water paddling, mountain lakes, rock climbing a few hours away.

Yeah, Greg's got a sweet website. Very Pro.

We'll bump into each other some time, out and about.

Thought it might be interesting to invite the local arbo scene to Green Drinks at the Fishtale brewpub sometime, or something. Meet up for some good corporate-style price fixing.

Just Kidding on the price fixing. The Fishtale it good brew, though. Way better than Olympia beer, and I'm not a beer guy, much at all.

Lots of nice properties to work on in Olympia, as the South Sound has lots of convoluted shoreline.

Employee Ben actually wishes it rained more here, if you can believe it. While winters are wet, and days are short, there is no risk of frostbite in Oly. Summer days are beautiful and its light until almost 10pm. BC Canada is near, desert is not too far. People are pretty friendly. Economy is more stable that lots of places, as it is the state's capital (though the state is broke at the moment).

Seattle is close enough, but far enough away. A military base seperates Oly on the north from the Seattle/ Tacoma urban area.

Sea-tac airport is 60 miles, and Portland airport is 100 miles, so travel is easy.

Speaking of PDX, the Columbia River gorge has lots of wind/water sport opportunities, and there is lots of fishing to be had in the waters (fresh and salt) around here. Good opportunities for hypothermia training if you want to swim without a wetsuit (some people can handle it, I shiver thinking about it, cold water wimp here).

Anyhow, enough repping OLY. Would be cool to have more Buzzers around town.

Good luck in your climber search.
