I have seen it and played with it, but couldn't think of a use for treework. I think I'm right in saying it was designed for quick clip-ins on bolted rock climbing routes.

When Cllimb Ax had that at their booth at TCI a few years ago if got the attention of a lot of climbers. Sure is a cool tool. Unfortunately, no one could figure out a good use for it
The two ideas that I've heard are as a chain saw clip and possibly on a lanyard. It's too bad we can't figure out a use, it has the coolest action and look.

Here is another product that Kong is distributing, the Tre:

I read about it on a rope rescue page. Apparently it works similar to the Petzl I'd but is more compact and cheaper. The catch is that the Tre is only for ropes up to 11mm. there's only one 11 mm arbo rope that I know of on the US market, the one from New England ropes.

What about using it on the Lock Jack?
Does anyone know where to get one at? I didn't see it listed at climax ha ha. That might be an idea, using it on the lock jack. Maybe splice that baby right on the end of my line. Who knows it looks cool.
