Kerf Dutchman

A dutchman is really nothing more than an intentionally bypassed under-cut. As such you have made many "dutchman's", but you just didn't realized it. Stick to, and simply tighten up your use of the basics Kenny.
You have the ability to climb and set tag-lines which will always be a much more predictable, powerful, reliable, effective, and safe method for putting your wood were it needs to go. Tag-lines and fundamentally sound cutting is all 99.8% of us will ever need to get our jobs done safely and effectively. Hell, even Mr. Dent himself came to realize that the Swinging Dutchman was too unpredictable and unreliable, which is why he refrained from teaching it later in his life. I myself learned the Swinging Dutchman over 35 years ago and I honestly can't remember the last time I used one, or one scenario in my life where it was essential to getting the job done.

One of my first foreman/general-managers utilized this a bunch. Bucket truck cutting as he didn't climb anymore. Four crew company and he'd been at it for decades. Great for jumping the wood off the stem, and he was a pleasure to watch work (but not cleanup after).
