Hey I ordered two Kask helmets from an internet site that treebuzz had appearing to the right of this page in an advertisement.

The ad showed Kask helmets.

Well my helmet came very quickly after I place the order, even after they thought it would be a two week backorder, but we had a minor problem with another.

The company, Superior Products & Supply, Inc, went well above and beyond what I was asking of them!

What an awesome company!

Here is my yellow hi-v one, X-Man style:

and here is the white one that just came for another co-worker. A hi-V white one will come next week too for MattyD the climber.

Very comfortable helmets. I love the shield. I thought the aluminum mesh in the vents would be too tight to let air through when I saw it and blew through it. First day of work with it, i discovered I was wrong, when I run, I feel wind blowing in.

I highly suggest buying from this company that supports treebuzz. Superior Products & Supply, Inc.

ha that is a pretty damn sweet mohawk...did you make it or is it one of those motorcycle ones you can buy and put on your motorcycle helmet? Some day i will own a kask...when my petzl becomes out of date

my yellow one from the side, but in florescent lights.

don't worry if you open your box at night and view it in florescent lights, it will look dull and not much color. but in real sunlight it looks very different.

I've been wearing it with the x-man spikes for about a month now and they are staying on tight, no problems.

I didn't want to post before, due to posers.

But the climbing comp for MID Atlantic is coming up and I will be sporting this helmet, so I should now share with you.

I might be selling these rubber spikes cut to length for various helmets, for those who are interested. (consult with your helmet maker first for saftey in compatibility with the helmet)

the rubber spikes act as a bumper for the shield in the up position and if you mount a helmet cam next to the top of the helmet, the rubber will somewhat protect the helmet cam from minor falling dead limbs and other debris, like in nasty crane picks.

But do you actually spell your name with an X? I don't think so...

X-man O.G.

P.S. I do like the helmet however it needs skulls and flames to be OG strait.

thats funny. I thought the maryland X-man had given up climbing oldschool, moved to Costa Rica and started climbing SRT. Two is better than one.

They are both extraordinary climbers and are equally deserving of the "Mutant" classification

Re: KASK helmet X-Man style and Superior Products & Su

not related, but some odd similar things...

In 2002 or 03 or 04? when I went out to California to meet Jerry B and climb some redwoods; when exchanging stories I told him about me going to Costa Rica climbing trees in the cloud rain forest and attempting to spend the night in the trees...

He said, "oh, I heard about you. Your on treebuzz right?"

I said no way. No one knows about it. And I didn't know about tree buzz then.

I then visited treebuzz and I created the ID theXman. I had no idea that Xman had an ID and hadn't used it in years, I think.

Then about 1 year after I'm on treebuzz this Xman starts posting from Costa Rica.

I get pissed because I'm sure this guy is mocking me and created an ID similar to my name.

I went to costa rica several times and actually was dating a girl from there, and this guys seems to show up on the buzz and posting many times in a few days.

Then others spoke up and I figured out it was all a twisted up coincidence. And I discovered this is also the guy Jerry B first confused me with.

Very odd.

I apologized to him when I found out he wasn't trying to piss me off and was legit.

But still to this day, Xman and myself have a little riff going on I think.

Dude you're so right. Posers ruin everything. Just look at what happened to the Seattle music scene in the early/mid nineties.

My kids would love it if I had a mohawk on my helmet. They are always bugging me to shave their heads for a mohawk.

Maryland X,

No need to get get bent out of shape. I am Xian(christian) Hunter hence the fact that I was blessed with the name X-man. Besides that, before I drove to Costa Rica and spent 8 years there, I had a website that was really informative and one of the first advanced and progressive tree climbing sites. Tom and Mark have put together a great site and I am stoked to come back to the US and be a part of innovation and progressive applications/ techniques once again. I don't want you to get bent on this, I would rather us contribute to the industry together by discussing/ posting threads!

Stay tied in my fellow X,

X-maniac
