THats if your going to be there.I will be wearing a bill cap that says, Monterey. So if you see it, plaese come up and say hello.

not much of a better Riggs. Anything can happen at these events. So you never know whoes going to pull it off. Of course I would bet on our champion. He is young , very good and his father has a lot of experience in the internationals. But, wich ever way the ball drops , my hat ill be off to them. It is a great accomplishment.

I know who I would have bet on if someone hadn't taken him out by hiding his equipment and tying knots in his throw line. I have a feeling it will be Chris Ward or Strasser?

I believe Mark will do it again although the rules will not be in his favor I also think he will set a new record in the footlock onceagain .Look out for Kraus and Strasser though.

I don't know for sure, but was told that Dan Kraus reinjured his knee and won't be competing. Kind of stinks, with it in his own back yard and all. If I heard right, John O'Shea will take his place as the first alternate. Dan, if you've got your ears on, tell me I'm wrong, that it's just a bad rummor.
Tied in, Jesse

In his own back yard, yep. What a drag... Dan had only been back to work for a few weeks, (ACL Repair), when he slipped on a log, at home, and tore the ACL again, plus cartilage damage.. Had it repaired about two weeks ago. He'll be there filming, as will I, with still cameras, and low res. digital video clips. Pass the word, I'll be able to print up to 13x19 high quality prints for all the competitors. Also, photo party, slide show, etc, is planned, probably at Scott Baker's house one free evening, Monday or Tues?

Rog,

Still looking for that 12 step program....

Hello fellow climbers!
Thank you for the kind words and support.
Yes it is true, while training in my yard, I walked down a suspended log I have for balance practice. The log was old and I had told myself to not walk on it anymore, but I did not listen to my intuition. The log broke like a trap door, I fell only about 6 feet, but I'm no cat, I felt my knee pop out then back in real quick.
I could not believe that in one second of bad jugment I destroyed eight months of hard, sweaty, physical rehab.
I'm glad the ITCC will be in Seattle this year. I Don't want to miss a single one, whether I can compete or not.
I'm excited about doing some filming and being able to watch all the climbers.
I'm bummed I wont be able to climb the giant Sequoia they have for the speed climb, it looks great. I hope they go with a unprecedented height of 100'. Now that would exciting.
See you all soon. Dan.
