As you already know, the organization of the 6th European ISA Conference is well on it's way. We have a full functioning website, registration forms are on the site and will be printed for circulation through Belgium and Holland. An English version of the registration form will be available as a downloadable form in a couple of days. We are very eager to be your host on this European Conference.
Every board member who has experience with organizing a conference knows how it feels if people register for a conference very late. We are less than 60 days away from the 6th European ISA conference and we have a little over 100 registrations. Of course we anticipated a modest attendance on this conference due to the situation in the world. We also know that Tree people usually are not in a hurry to register.
I heard from some people that they find the conference expensive. That is our mistake. We haven't been clear in the message. In Holland it is normal to include all lunches, coffee, tea, soft drinks and the closing banquet in a total conference fee. If you take this in account, you will see that the price of the conference is not high at all.

Two years ago we discussed in Oslo how to set up this conference. We all agreed on this form and the date. We agreed that we would organize the conference in such a way that we would have speakers from all over Europe and the rest of the world. If you look at the program, you will see that we succeeded in having a very special program. The latest news is that Claus Mattheck will be one of the speakers as well, with a very special presentation. (This was made possible by a special donation from the BSI tree care company in Holland)
In June the weather in Holland is beautiful. The European climbing championships will be held in one of the most beautiful historic parks from the Roman time in Holland. The terraces, cafés and bars will have their chairs out waiting for you. In June, Holland is in full bloom and at it's most magnificent!!!

If you register before may 1, you will receive 14% discount. The registration for the full conference is € 495,- if you are a Member of the ISA and register before may 1.
The ISA will organize their very successful Leadership workshop in Maastricht!!! We are very glad to host this unique opportunity to learn from the ISA structure. The Leadership workshop learns about how to run a chapter successfully!!! Every Chapter has great potential leaders. This year you can save travel costs to the USA because the Workshop is in Holland and for the first time in Europe!!!
Take advantage of this great workshop and the great conference program. Besides all this. Come to the conference reception and meet the Staff from ISA Headquarters. Our President Mike Neal and The ISA Director Jim Skiera will be present at the conference.

Please send this message to all of your members. Organize a bus trip for all to save costs and please make sure that many of you come to this conference.

Looking forward to have you here in Holland
Pius Floris
ISA Board Vice President
