of 5/8" Tenex, what would you do with it. I don't have any thing for rigging, but I also don't have a NEED for it right now either, as I don't do much on the side, and work provides. That's all subject to change of course.

I got it in a Bag'o'rope from TS. Figured if I made something useful, I might end up developing a need for it. I think that's how tree work and gadgetry go....

I would probably make a huge ultrasling for a porty and a couple more of various lengths for block slings. Ultraslings are the shit. ..thanks Treestuff!

I probably wouldn't use it for anything for my climbing gear personally. I really like it for rigging though. Maybe you can talk your boss into buying them from you when they're done.

Haha well in theory it sounds good, but I'm afraid my boss is bound by much higher powers than him. We have plenty of rigging gear at work anyway.

I work for a large.... Large company. One of the few down falls I see there is the inability to be innovative without many different levels of approval.... Which isn't all bad, but is constraining in certain rights of course.

Loopies, whoopies, and dead eyes. Maybe by a few XRR's for dead eye redirects or make some for terminal rigging points if you don't have more than a couple blocks.

I got a similar chunk of 5/8 in the same way.
I made a double eye sling.
I have had one before and usually just use it as a dead eye sling, but occasionally it gets wrapped around a tree with a basket configuration for something extra heavy duty or wrapped and choked through the other eye for a quick attachment and lighter loads.
Also, alternating eyes gives you a greater number of cycles to failure.

The last perk: It is always big enough.
