SEEKING PLANT HEALTH CARE TECHNICIAN FOR FULL OR PART TIME WORK (Jamaica, VT):
Carr Tree & Timber, a leading tree service in the Southern Vermont area, is seeking a qualified PHC Tech for immediate hire.
Your primary role will be applying pesticides and fertilizers to carry out PHC (plant health care) treatment programs for trees and shrubs. The position could be full-time/part-time/seasonal depending on your preference. Full-time year round work is available assisting our tree service crew when PHC is slow. Work on some of the nicest properties in Southern Vermont with some of the best equipment in the area.
PHC experience is a plus but we are willing to train a licensed candidate.
Compensation:
Starts at $18 to $25 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

* State relocation assistance up to $7,500 if you move here from out of state w/ a job offer
Requirements:
Valid pesticide applicator license/certificate is required (Ornamental & Shade Tree/Landscape category). License MUST be from Vermont, or one of the following states that VT has licensing reciprocity with: NY, NJ, RI, PA
Valid drivers license is required. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and US DOT physical.
Strong tree and plant identification and organizational skills are required. The position requires safe handling of chemicals, mixing, loading and daily maintenance of spray equipment, keeping records of applications, maintaining product inventory, monitoring weather conditions, following planned routes.
Degree in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, or related field is a plus but not required.
