To all of the Treebuzzers in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving!

How do you celebrate TG?

I've always wondered how and why Canada celebrates TG if we're to believe the story that it started with the Pilgrims in New England. Can anyone fill me in?

Thanks Tom. I always welcome a day off work.
We celebrate with family and friends.
I'm originally from Africa, so still learning Canada's new cultures. TG is all about pumkins.Only joking. I've been led to believe it's about post harvest celebrations.

Can anyone elaborate.

I'm not surprised, I wasn't even married nor did I own a chain saw or a lawn mower that long ago.

Hi Mark,
I'm in Victoria, Vancouver island. Emmigrated with family from S.A. four years ago. The industry / technology / equipment etc is amazing out here. So far ahead. Where i used to live there were no arborist supply shops. I used yacht rope for my rope and had a paragliding shop build me a harness from a photo from a magazine. Really great to be part of an active progressive innovative industry.
There was no isa chapter in SA. The closest was U.K.of which i became a member to try and learn about arboriculture. Was always a keen follower of the ITCC and used to see how guys like yourself were competing. Was always a dream for me just to compete in a climbing competition. Now i'm off to Minesota next year and am just so overwhelmed.
See you there.
ps. what was that other guys name from SA.
