Gotta love Philadelphia.......

So we get a permit to close a street (1 block) in Philadelphia(in a decent, not great but not scary part of the city) to set a crane up in the road. The city puts up signs saying no parking from 8am-6pm. Car will be towed - city of Philadelphia. Come 8am, 5 cars in the way. We call the police, officer starts ticketing cars and tries to get them towed. City WILL NOT TOW cars. Officers is asked by supervisor WHY SHE TICKETED THE CARS....WTF really. Homeowner had to shell out $250 to get the 5 cars relocated down to the next block. We finally got the crane set up 2 hours after it got there. Job went fine after all was said and done. One of the cars was parked RIGHT NEXT TO a no parking sign. One of the owners came running down the road and asked me if here car was towed. I said in a very careing voice

"yeah probably". Stupid bitch the drove around the block and tried to park 50' up the road right in front of a no parking sign....yeah we told here to move

Thanks Philly, can we get a refund on our permit since you didn't hold up your end of the deal(cars will be towed my )

So you had a routine day dealing with the general public? If you had a contract with the city and there was a breach of said contract you should have recourse.
