JOB OPPORTUNITY with the Glenview Park District:
Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds (Full-Time)

JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the building and grounds of our beautiful 165,000 sq ft community center, which includes an indoor aquatics facility, fitness center, senior center, preschool, program rooms, and more. You will have direct supervisory responsibility for a crew of full-time employees and as well as several part-time employees. NOTE: This is a physical position requiring sufficient strength and mobility.
QUALIFICATIONS
The best applicants will have at least 5 years relevant experience along with an associate’s degree in a skilled trade or related field (although significant and material experience in lieu of formal education will be considered). Valid Illinois driver’s license required. Certified Pool Operator’s license recommended.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Successful candidates will have sufficient knowledge of skilled trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.); knowledge of custodial products & usage; significant mechanical aptitude including the use of tools, equipment, and machinery; ability to diagnose and troubleshoot minor building maintenance issues; ability to read and follow manuals and operating instructions; ability to read and interpret sketches, and blueprints; knowledge of building codes and safety regulations; ability to write effective manuals, reports, and requests for proposals; ability to effectively evaluate work proposals by outside contractors; ability to work with Park & Facility Services; knowledge and skills with computers and software (Outlook, Word, and Excel); ability to learn additional software and systems required; ability to work a varied schedule including some nights and weekends as required; ability to execute the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
TARGET HIRING RANGE: Mid $50’s to Low $60’s
