Gecko Foot plates?

Anyone have geckos and put foot plates on them? I currently rock Buckinghams but I'm thinking of going for some geckos but spurs without foot plates almost bring me to tears in a tree after hours, are geckos comfy enough without foot plates? thxs

Seems like a lot of folks are looking for a magic bullet when it comes to spur climbing, but unfortunately it doesn't exist.

The 2 best things you can do to get comfy in spurs is spend a lot of time climbing spurs (toughen up), and get boots built for climbing in spurs..
