How to Work Safely In and Around Trees
Tree work is among the most high risk occupations in the United States with a fatality rate that is 10 times higher than the all-industry average. There is also an excessively high number of serious injuries, many with life-long consequences.
This workshop will cover the types of accidents that occur, who they occur to and more important, how tree workers can minimize their risks! In addition the workshop will cover how tree work should be marketed to reduce your liability and alert homeowners and commercial property managers why they should hire professionals for this type of work. The workshop will also cover the pruning section of the Arborist Certification manual to aid those intending to take the Arborist Certification exam.

The Cloquet Forestry Center is the University of Minnesota’s primary research and education forest. The Center serves the research, teaching and education needs of the natural resources community. It is also home to Extension’s Cloquet Regional office.
