I'm in Maryland and we've had more snow that Boston this year so far.
been terrible.
i got out of snow removal 3 years ago, but just had to get back into it at least with skidloader to get some $ come in the business these last few weeks.
tree damage has just been leyland cypress and red cedar and white pine limbs, some blue spruce trees. Nothing big though, many of it, just get off the house or pool and clean up later cause half buried under snow.
we have work, but can't do it, wettest dang fall and snowiest winter i can remember, sucks. Guys haven't had many hours these past few weeks.
then, the ones we do in the snow end up sucking cause too much time spent on the job with snow related setbacks. digging for outrigger spots, things getting stuck, ect....
quite a few barns collapsed around here. got a crane job on one, take off the fallen barn roof sections from the farm equipment using our crane. fun and definitely had to think things out well. All went excellent. being a climber and tied into crane to set slings and cut roof wooden supports was very beneficial to the job. breezy that day though and roof sections once in the air had to be moved quickly to the drop or they would dangerously fly around like a wild kite.
half the fallen sections have been removed here in this picture, crane is parked in it's second spot.
i have lots of action photos of this, if people care to see, i can start on another post. i've spent most of my day on the buzz today, terrible, so i gotta go get something done now
