Climbing line for rigging?

I somehow ended up with a surplus of 1/2” climbing line and have two different 120’ of it. One was a freebie, and the second might be too. Was wondering if there was any issues with utilizing one of these lines for rigging and tag lines?

A lot of 12 and 16 strand climbing lines are great for medium duty rigging, go for it. Mark the rope somehow so it doesn’t get mistaken for life support gear. Different color tape or whipping twine or something like that.

Is there some reason they're no longer being used for climbing, other than being pink? I'd do a careful inspection if I didn't know their history. A failure in a rigging line can cause all sorts of nasty problems.

200-400 on 7k line with wear shouldn't be too much w/o impact?
.
In matching line builds (ArboPlex) of different diameter/strengths. The lesser line, will yield more elasticity to load, as it's MBS is enroached on more.
To same point, a 2/1 on load gives same strength, but cuz is now essentially stronger line on that run, gives stiffer/less elastic response to all connected knots, devices, supports etc. in chain. So, there is use for lesser ropes, on lesser loads, especially if don't want to shock with stiff 3/4" Stable Braid with same load etc.
.
This then save larger, heavier line wear for 'real' loads; and gives open degrade-able path to cycle out climbing line hit with much lower loading (hopefully) and i'd think only that elastic range 'beaten' out of line. Keeps climbing line fresh, and climber knowing handling and knotting of light rigging lines even more personally.
.
i always think should have cherry/in the bag 1/2" ready to go/or immediate access locally; no bluffing, any doubt, feeling etc., rotate new rope in etc. and have pre-sighted downgrade path for all.

None have even been used. I ended up with two different 1/2” 120’ lines free and don’t have any longer pieces of rigging line.

I actually like the pink line a lot, only reason I’m considering using that is the other line is a Samson in a more common color way.

Where I live, I've learned "big" rigging is the medium category for most others with bigger trees.
I say that to say this, I retired a climb line that was plenty good, I just bought new ropes honestly. I use it for rigging all the time. Like, all the time. Not meant for fast long run natural crotch rigging tho
