Climber Available

Looking for a climbing gig in southeast WI. Trying to cut down on my daycare costs and going part time (Monday through thursday) kind of thing. Will have my own insurance in the next month. If anyone has any leads let me know.

Climb safe.

A lot of companies in the area are hiring climbers, or at least were a few months ago. Buckley is always looking, Hoppe was hiring a little while ago, m and m is always looking. Could talk to LS landscapes if there is a climber opening. All the owners in s.e. Wisconsin are complaining about a shortage of decent climbers.

I worked with @tc262 on a crane gig last October. He is a great guy with some good equipment, and not afraid to bring in the big guns (heavy equipment) when the situation calls for it. I would recommend him to any of my family for tree service, and any fellow climber, for a good guy to work with.

Hope you get that farm man.

Yeah I know openings get pretty hot in springtime, haven't seen much just from looking online recently. Looking to hit the ground running somewhere fresh by spring. I appreciate you looking out!

Yeah this is my favorite lead. Never had the chance to do crane work-I have wanted to do it for a very long time.

Are you going to the WAA conference in February? It might be a good place to mingle with some guys and get more leads and talk yourself up to some of the area owners. Also, there is usually a job board in the lobby that you could look at or even put up a little ad for yourself. The free beer at night usually gets guys pretty chatty and something could fall into your lap. ISA job bank would be worth checking out too. There were some Wisconsin posts there a couple weeks ago.

I could use a climber!! Do you have a CDL? We do crane work about everyday. I also unitize a bucket truck with the crane as well. I mention this because that is the best way to get familiarized with the principals of crane assisted removals. It allows you the ability to focus on sling placement, crane placement, and your cutting techniques....without the added stress of climbing and work positioning. We are located in VT, but I am seriously considering re-locating someplace that does not have a snowy, icy winter. But that's another conversation.

Royce, I'd go work for ya if I could!

Come on over!! Its work, but its fun. Been removing 45 large oaks for this customer. We get the job close to finishing up and he adds on another 3 days. All crane trees.
