They'd still need a knife for dimensions, preferably a new one.Any custom knife makers in your area or reputable machine shops? it should be easy enough to have them made out of A8 steel. Fastenal, Grainger, McMasterCarr.
So the guy has a chipper without bolts and knives? Maybe even Altec has that very information. I know I can call Vermeer and get the dimensions. They'd still need a knife for dimensions, preferably a new one.
How do you like their knives?I have a Vermeer BC1500 and buy a kit with the knives and bolts from American Cutting Edge: https://americancuttingedge.com/
How do these hold up? They seemed much less expensive than from the OEMI have a Vermeer BC1500 and buy a kit with the knives and bolts from American Cutting Edge: https://americancuttingedge.com/
They are top quality. I have bought about 10 kits so far and have not had any problems. I don't bother getting them sharpened because they are only about $125 per kit for this chipper. I also buy knives for my Bandit but I don't use it much anymore and keep it as a backup. How do you like their knives?
