Chipper knives and bolts. Where to buy?

Looking for a source for knives and bolts for an early 2000’s altec wc126a chuck and duck. Anybody have any ideas?

Any custom knife makers in your area or reputable machine shops? it should be easy enough to have them made out of A8 steel. Fastenal, Grainger, McMasterCarr.

McMast Carr online is go to for hardware. You can call ALTEC Inc and talk to their parts guys. They're very helpful and often tell you what you can use as a non-Altec brand replacement. ALTEC (877)435-9258. Parts come to Iowa very quickly. I always get mine next day or two days.

How do these hold up? They seemed much less expensive than from the OEM

How do you like their knives?

They are top quality. I have bought about 10 kits so far and have not had any problems. I don't bother getting them sharpened because they are only about $125 per kit for this chipper. I also buy knives for my Bandit but I don't use it much anymore and keep it as a backup.
