Arborists right now are in a sellers market. There aren't enough to go around to meet the demand in California. If you'll get right to the hourly pay rate, the number of hours you're offering per week, as well as what you're offering in the way of mobilization support, housing, vehicle and/or vehicle reimbursement, housing and per diem, It will save you and everyone else a lot of time.

What would an ideal package look like without being pie in the sky that would keep you working for 6 months to a year? The project would last for at least 6 months but tentatively for 2-3 years. It would be 70-80 hours plus a week.

Still didn’t address the logistics and mobilization. But most offer 35 to 40 an hour, hotel, vehicle, and Perdiem, Because most are government contracts. To travel across the United States from anywhere and work 60 to 70 hours you need to take care of your guys. That being said everything’s negotiable. I’d be interested if they are.

Answering a direct question about compensation and support with a question is not a confidence booster.

Give some hard numbers, or go home.
