Yeah, that was the hopes.Yeah, it's also nice because if you get up to your anchor and need to go higher or elsewhere you can untie it aloft and set it again rather than dealing with the hassle of untying an alpine up there.
That is an easier way to refer to that knot. I always break it up and call it a bowline tied with a bight. It's kind of clunky.I'd say to use a bowline WITH a bight. bowline ON a bight is a different thing which would not be any better than a butterfly.
