Camp-USA Naiad pulley

Without going to in depth to the set up I'm thinking of, sometimes I wish my hitch climber pulley had a larger central hole to accommodate my haas and chest ascender clip while in a rope wrench set up because the upper hole is usually too crowded by my Prussic cord splices. Not a huge issue just nit picking. But this pulley is probably too heavy to be practical for that application

I own a bunch of smaller Camp pulleys for other things. Looking at that pulley, it seems to be built like the smaller ones. My concern would be the edges. With the smaller ones I use them only where I can keep an eye on them and their alignment to the rope. For rigging I prefer something a little more rope friendly. (Rigging rings, DMM Pinto pulley, or smooth edged arborist blocks). Would I use it to make a mechanical advantage system, possibly.

The edges were pretty smooth. And it's bigger than it looks. With a 16mm running line capacity it could get overloaded quickly in tree work, but it still looks promising for light work. It reminds me of a CMI RP102 (which I have used for years in various applications), but more versatile.

Supposedly my REI has them in stock, I will have to take a look at them. For light work and using as pictured in their add they are probably fine.

I have the naiad, not the pro vers but the red one. I got it on sale and was thinking to run it on the rope bridge so that fourth clip in point on the opposite side points downward, for clipping in the saka. This was just after DMM made that warning on the hitchclimber, I'd been running that on the bridge for a months or two. It's a setup which works really well except that the naiad is far too large and it caught the skin from my arm in its wheel which had me cursing.
It is a nice pulley for sure and I'll be setting up a fiddle block with it when the right partner turns up for it at the right price.

There's also these on sale at fernoOutlet in au, note that's au$$ so that's a crazy price. Those are 36kn from memory, but otherwise real similar unit.

I definitely need DMM to make a fancier hitchclimber with that fourth clip in on the opposite side, (or a pinto with a paw for a becket!!!) that'd be boss. You can use that opposite clip in for a redundancy when rolling on a rope bridge, a maillon in there will catch you if the axle fails and drops its load.
