Yes, it is rated for 10-11 mm ropes so in theory it would be OK on a 11 mm assuming it gets approval from the ISA.Isn't it designed only for 10 - 11 mm ropes? Website I saw sez "semi-static" ropes whatever that means . . .
I think you are correct- it seems to take some time for new devices get approval or denial. I will check with them.You will need to contact ISA and see if it has been submitted for review. Just off hand I would say "no" just because of the length of time it has taken for the devices currently approved to get approved.
It interested me because it seems like a simple device for up and down which is basically what is done in the ascent event- it is also cheaper than the Akimbo or Taz Love 2.It resembles the ISC Rocker with more features.
Thank you, I appreciate the clarification.@planiteer The Goblin can not be used for descent, only as a backup when descending with something else. It does not work like an Akimbo, or the Taz Lov 2/3. You must have misinterpreted that.
Thank you, that is the message I seem to be getting. Will probably stick to the Taz.pretty sure it could be used as a series back up but not for a primary support
