JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Arborist-Sales Representative (Sales Rep) sells Arboricultural Services to residential and or commercial customers. The arborist sales position involves creating and building relationships with existing and new clients and actively seeking out new job leads. This position requires exceptional customer service skills; knowledge of tree biology, and insect / disease management in the urban environment; sales experience and a willingness to follow up on new job leads; and the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere. This person will assist with the scheduling and managing of up to 4 crews on a daily basis. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with tree care, plant health care, turf management, hazard tree evaluation and industry approved tree care practices, and function as one of the company experts on all tree related topics. Position involves estimating time/cost for crews to perform tree removal, pruning, cabling, plant health care services, and turf care as well as other services. Plant Identification is also an important job function. Key priority is proposing and developing sales to existing clients and cultivation of new customers in the territory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Seeking arborist/horticulturist with preferably 3-5 years of sales experience in arboricultural services.
• Preferred: Two or Four year degree in a green industry
• ISA Certification (or obtain within 6 months)
• Regional plant and horticultural knowledge
• Experience working on tree crew HIGHLY preferred
• Excellent sales and communication skills
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized.
• CDL also highly valuable.
