46th Annual MN Shade Tree Short Course

March 25-26, 2008

http://www.cce.umn.edu/conferences/shadetree/

I am a NERD, so I'll highlight the concurrent sessions I'm planning to attend.

Tues. 25th

1.Native vs. Urbanized Soils
2.Shubs, Trees, and Pathogens: Plant Disease Clinic Diagnostic Procedures and Recommendations
3.What Does Fertilizer Do?

Wed. 26th

1.Pruning Wounds and Occlusion: The View from the Forest
2.The Effects of Drought on Tree Health
3.Soil Biology and Tree Health Management

See y'all there!

Sorry Glen, guess I won't be at your presentation... Soils just get me going!

Isn't it funny how everyone has such varied interests between people.
Here are my picks (I think)
1-Invasive Tree Pests and the Firewood That Can Carry Them
2-What's Killing our Native Landscape Trees?
3-Pruning Wounds and Occlusion:the View from the Forest

1-Contracting Tree Work: How Municipalities and Tree Care Contractors Can Work Together Effecctively
2-Diagnosing Tree Diseases
3-Soil Biology and Tree Health Management

Of course, I seem to always change things around the day of too based on what reviews I hear.

Taylor, I will like to hear what you hear at the Fertilizer session. I mostly am not a proponent of fertilizer though it does have its place.

Any more about Bastian, Guy? I guess that I chose one of his sessions, just don't know anything about him.

Here's the last bump! Hope to see everyone there tomorrow. MSA Winter Picnic Tuesday eve and Fight Night on Wednesday 7:30PM at the Groveland Tap, St. Paul!

Hey Taylor, pass along a review of the diagnosis and occlusion sessions, willya?

Too bad you are passing on Bastian; he's sharp.

Sure thing. By the way, I am seeing Bastian's "Soil Biology and Tree Health Mgmt".

I know Rex mainly as an isa reviewer. his comments show a rare command of arboriculture. he's set me straight on several things, fixing my goofs.
