Just 50 miles east of Yellowstone National Park, in Cody, Wyoming! Cody, Wyoming is a growing community with great access to a variety of outdoor recreation. Gross Sales on track to break $200k this year, and have grown by 25-30% each year for the last 3-4 years. Business specializes in pruning...
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to sell my tree care company, located in Cody, Wyoming, about 50 miles from the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. My wife was accepted into a PhD program in Indiana, so we're moving this summer.
We've been in business since August 2012, and have grown consistently...
I had mine done a couple years ago. If you want to minimize you’re recovery time it’s important to lay down for 24 hours after the procedure. Gravity is not your friend. You want your buys lovingly supported for a full day. Do that and you should be good to go back to work in 4-5 days.
Any must have business books? Has anyone read these?

I’m wondering when others call work for temperature. I avoid working below 0F and I generally don’t do climbing jobs unless the temperature will be double digits most of the day. I find that the likelihood of an accident increases dramatically when it’s really cold. I think it’s also incredibly...
I’m looking to have a couple pairs of saw pants for new hires. Anyone who stays on longer than 6 months gets at least one pair of nicer saw pants, but I’d like to get some cheaper pairs to have on hand and have a few different sizes. Anyone tried those Treehog pants that Shelter is carrying...
I’ve considered trying to work on a program for our local community college. I’d like to offer field work along with biology, physics and some business classes. Ironically, the school could probably pay for the entire program by having instructors/students prune and remove trees rather than...
I think for small companies, benefits are still the exception, rather than the rule. I do think more and more companies are trying to offer them as its likely to help them shift their employees from seasonal help, to career based and long term. It’s a shift that needs to happen in the industry...
I own a small company as well, so I get that the costs add up. I keep a couple basic DdRT setups and a couple Ropewrench setups on hand for employees to use. If you want to customize your kit, that will end up being out of your own pocket. I do think PPE should be employee provided. I have...
I like the stipend idea. Any decent climber is going to start buying their own equipment but as an employee, it’s a pretty massive expense. I would have loved to work for someone who would have offset some of that cost.
I also think that you should have all PPE and climbing gear that someone...
