One of the problems with the avant vs other equipment is that you're on and off a bit. Jump off to rig, jump off to ramp up the chipper, etc. Its also the lack of grab points and angle of the step... Idk. It's odd.

I went private to utility back to private.
Utility has its perks. Stable, decent pay, good benefits, generally easy work (no weird specs, clear goals).
The wrong private site companies would be doing worse off than utilities, so you'd want to be cautious in your switch.
