    Avant "Knee"

That's an idea. I'll have to reach out. One of the problems with the avant vs other equipment is that you're on and off a bit. Jump off to rig, jump off to ramp up the chipper, etc. Its also the lack of grab points and angle of the step... Idk. It's odd.

    Avant "Knee"

I do often actually. Hurts less to have my leg out if I'm only driving it short distances for some reason.

    Avant "Knee"

The entry and exit for the avant is only on the left.

    Avant "Knee"

Folks who have run avant... Does your left knee absolutely kill after a day of on and off the machine? I'm beginning to hear complaints from my guys too, all left knee. Wondering if we need to implement some stretching specifically for this.

Anyone transition from utility to residential?

I went private to utility back to private. Utility has its perks. Stable, decent pay, good benefits, generally easy work (no weird specs, clear goals). The wrong private site companies would be doing worse off than utilities, so you'd want to be cautious in your switch. Some skills...

    TCIA/Husqvarna Arborist apprenticeship?

We set up a formal DOL apprenticeship. Our state agency had to work with TCIA to help us build a full program. It's complete with the whole TCIA course log, plus a bunch of extras we threw in (such as CDL, pesticide, tree inspector, etc). He is currently an apprentice. A lot of it can be "self...

    TCIA/Husqvarna Arborist apprenticeship?

We used it as our template. It's very helpful. It's a lot of paperwork but so far it's been good. David seems to be happy with the quality of content as well.

    AI affect on arborculture

This was my direction with it. A bunch of spider bots that can climb up and work together to rig out tight quarters debris.

    Home birthing hippies

#3 born like an hour ago. Overdue by 3 weeks. Kay didn't feel good last night (like sick feeling). I was running errands today and splitting wood (big cold snap), I get home and she says hey I think I'm going into labor. Cleaned the house, midwives showed up, an hour later a baby was born...
