Well put! With changing overhead the cost changes too, somethings get cheaper for clients but most don’t. What I’ve been noticing is clients’ surprise when an added on tree is much cheaper (as we are already there with bigger gear). Good clients sometimes get a day rate (7hrs onsite) which they could work backwards for a per hr, but generally bid the job. Frozen mini skids
Clear tracks and park on ramps/boards. Winter is a joy sometimes. I use a bit of kindling/sticker etc to bust out ice to not hurt stuff if it’s seized. Mud is the worst- Serf Life

Solo day on a 100+’ 36” white pine, 29” at 24’ where I took the last log. Crazy low taper. Took pics to see how long each part was, for giggles. 1.5hr later wishing it was no cleanup 2hrs to organize brush and mound rakings 2 hrs taking logs: cut with 550 until big wood then down to clear drop...- Serf Life
