Akimbo2 has been my go to for the past few months. All of the improvements on the device has made it top notch. New device from ISC
First climb on it today just a quick up and down, taking the lower limb had to swing out to the tip though. did a three to one with a lanyard to get out there. I have to say it is very freaking smooth without the rope wrench and just a little bit of feathering for decent.- Acerxharlowii

I don’t. I’m all srs with that baby. Smaller trees, 25-30’ I’ll use Mrs with a zig zag. I use one akimbo1 on my lanyard and another for dragging tail or with my Captain Hook. U will. The improvements were very well thought out. I love how it doesn’t slide down the rope anymore when tight or with slack. The larger hole to accommodate a xsre carabiner. The spring action is way more responsive. 3:1 with the cric is great. My go to all the time now. I like the vertec...- Acerxharlowii

Yeah that makes no sense. The revised friction body and “upgrade” should have been done in the first place. I heard they were aware of this design flaw but because of tcia and notch is greedy as F, they released it anyways. Lame. They no longer get my hard earned cash. I feel bad for the...- Acerxharlowii

Hey don’t worry everyone, u can now buy the notch upgrade with a new friction plate and tear hole. interesting I’m surprised this was put out to begin with with the apparent design flaw. maybe Kevin Bingham or any of the other others had an issue with this…interesting though.- Acerxharlowii

I haven’t found any mechanical that doesn’t run well with kalimba. Akimbo 1, rope runner pro and vertex, cbdb, zig zag. It’s a beautiful rope, I don’t even use it for production work.- Acerxharlowii

Two Rope Climbing

Yeah I e watched all of those, Perry trees actually mentioned it ran good in 11 mm but the manual states 11.5 min. I love my km3max and akimbo1 runs great on it. Bummer- Acerxharlowii

ART BlackBird for "MRT and SRT"
He also mentions the cam wears pretty quickly and that some have even had slippage after a few months, I have yet to see anyone confirm that though. However that cam is replaceable.- Acerxharlowii

Rope Runner Vertec Question
I would use a rope smaller in diameter. 11.5 or 11.1. I found larger diameter ropes were more difficult to tend slack with. Currently on km3 max. Vertec setting at 4. 160 without gear- Acerxharlowii
