Things that likely frustrate every climber at least once in their career

Climbing MRS and finding your climb line on the ground is buried to the point you can't free it up and you can't get down. And of course, you are solo that day.

This is where a Hitchhiker shines.

You can ascend and descend on a tensioned line.

I've HH'er up a taut diagonal line to top a dead tree that was out on its own, before falling the stub, with a tall tree 20 ' to the side.

I respect you gents greatly. It is a goal of mine to climb as long as I can. But life makes me more and more of a realist. I will take your word for it and remember you fondly when I get there.
We are not giving up, just slowing down as our bodies fall apart. My goal is to be found dead high up in a tree. It will be my last contribution to the fire department training as they try to figure out how to get my carcass down. I hope they actually drop me and wonder if I may have still been alive before they did that. Isn't one of them that knows how to climb a tree, let alone rescue someone in one. They are all just volunteer firemen that like to drink beer at the firehall.
I run a base anchor through a Petzl Rig. I can see one of them just pulling the handle on the Rig and me just plummeting to the ground. Should be worth the cost of admission just to watch the show.

Back to the regularly scheduled program... Carry on.

This isn't a climber-specific thing but a branch finding a perfect way to slide down the pole saw pole and smack you no matter whether you were expecting it and planning to avoid it or not.
Fuck, that happened to me a few weeks ago….. 3 sections of Jameson poles knocking a few dead Aspen branches (real go getter OCD shit) popped me right in the lip. I thought it knocked my front teeth out…..
