Tree Work: America's Deadliest Job

Is the ad in tree trader from these guys? Have you seen it? It's pitiful and disrespectful to every professional out there. Plus the example of PPE is crap. I would climb a wooden ladder before buying from them

Steve is investing in one of the safest forms of tree equipment that I can think off.
Lifts are nice but can be just as dangerous and sometimes more. There are additional variables with a lift that could go wrong. Like setting the machine up on a grade, or a rigged tree section swinging into the lift, etc. I feel all should learn climbing/rigging skills before graduating to a lift.

I've been echoing that sentiment for years. I absolutely HATE rigging from a bucket. Hate it.

Same felt here. Always hated the bounce and sway from the boom. Still hate it though my crippled arse would love me to buy a 75' elevator. Guess I'll keep saving my pennies for a K-boom instead.

Soooo mothers can let their daughters be tree climbers then?
Just making a point. Way to rule out women right off the hop, stupid ad.

I understand male-dominated fields of work but that's a little ridiculous.

That kind of s**t reeeally gets to me, sorry!

Also, like mentioned above, if you're in an ad for tree work you should at least look the part. These guys look like they just finished their shift at the gas station

/end rant/

I'm surprised that post didn't get A_Titans banned. Sheesh I got banned for life from the Win 7 Sevenforums for posting health and lifestyle stuff that I use, believe in, and sell, in the "off topics section". Those guys really suck. I'm glad Treebuzz is a bit more forgiving. As for the ad... Uggghhh! Embarrassing scare tactic BS. Totally. Never had to work from a lift... I can't afford one.
