Thinking About a Mini

Anyone have any brand / model recommendations they like?

Would be for mostly picking up brush and hauling to chipper on pruning jobs. Some logs here and there with some removal and storm damage work. Maybe larger stuff down the road.

The only thing I don’t like about our vermeer ctx 160 is that most mini attachments aren’t tough enough for it. Looking at the hardox bmg soon.

I’ve had mine for 17 years working year round in my tree business and have been very happy with it.

For just brush and small logs, the ditchwitch zahn is great. It’s faster than most minis and is turf friendly. Unlike the avants it has a platform, so it’s easier to get on and off.

Dual tires on the front and ballast filled inners and rears seriously upgrade its performance.

I just got a used ditchwitch sk750 16000cad I Like it. just took it on the job for the first time. it's great even choking brush with a rope. Can't wait to get a grapple I'm getting the tna grapple.
