Thanks Kenny. Good stuff. When I tell the younger guys about sweating the rigging, they look at me like I have 2 heads.

That little book by Adkins is great too.

i am great believer in it; a small window of time/bend distance to really empower the line.

The force angle leveraging for us in sweating a flat line is the same force geometry that demands that the cross member in an A frame trailer be stronger, the 'flatter'/ less pointed the 'teepee'. point of the trailer is. Just tapping into the cross forces to work for us in this as they can help us, rather than standing against us on the trailer cross member.
