Software - client management question

ATH

Been here much more than a while
Location
Findlay, Ohio
I'm using Jobber, but same question probably applies to other platforms...

When a new client buys an old client's house, do you:
A) create an entirely new client and keep the old?
B) change the name and contact info for the old client so you have all of the records for that property in one place?

I add a new property for the client.

Each named customer gets its own profile, the property may be listed under multiple names.

If we needed to track the work we'd done at an address (PHC, for instance), I'd make a note to refer to the other customer profile.

Funny you just brought this up. I literally just had a client move out of town, and another existing client bought their property. I think that one is a first for me, but the record is working the same property for the 4th owner.
