Lift Flipped Over

You have to dig into the hill and make level spots for the outriggers to sit in. I have leveled out on many steep hills that I have had to dig into. One I needed to bring in a SDS hammer drill and chisel out foot holds in rocky frozen ground.
But part of this accident looks to me like an outrigger failed on how it is folded under the lift in what appears to be the same plane as when you stow the outriggers . It also looks like an CMC 83hd or their 90 some footer.
Anyway I pray for a full recovery to the injured.

The outrigger is definitely pointed the wrong direction, but I would expect it to fail/fold if the lift slid down the hill. All that force laterally on an arm that is made only for vertical weight will do that for sure. Watch a crane slide down a hill, it will do the same thing.
