> This week the NJDEP/ Pesticide Control Program is conducting our 2005
> Worker Protection Standards Initiative in Central Jersey. The initiative
> will cover the counties of Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset, Monmouth, and
> Ocean.
> The goal of this initiative is to conduct a series of Worker
> Protection Inspections and Routine Pesticide Inspections in the Central
> part of the state of New Jersey.
> Each inspection will consist of a general check of the pesticide
> registration requirements,pesticide records, decontamination sites,
> pesticide storage, posting and central bulletin board ( WPS safety
> poster). In addition, inspectors will conduct worker and handlers
> interviews, check the personal protection equipment(PPE), and review
> provided pesticide safety training.
