Climber Looking for work near Grants Pass, OR

I am looking for potential relocation opportunities in the Grants Pass area. I have plenty of references and details of experience for anyone interested. Currently located in Denver, CO working for Davey Tree. Will be moving to Grants Pass Oregon the fourth week of February.

I think there is a lot of tree services in Grants Pass/surrounding areas. I’d bet finding a job in the industry there should be no issue. Maybe try a google search, get on the phone, and just work down the list.

Crazy that with todays labor pool nobody could create a spot on the roster for an experienced hand.

They've been looking for years to fill that post. It's never had career money attached to the job description though, more of a "starter" municipal job. Southern Oregon is beautiful, lawless, expensive, and largely rural. Finding a place to live can be harder than finding a job, but that's not that uncommon lots of places in the PNW.

My municipality had the same problem. I even interviewed for the lead arb position and they sounded eager to hire me until I told them that I would need to START at the upper limit of their advertised pay range, but would still expect raises at their standard schedule. They never said why they didn't hire me, but the next month the posting, which had been up for four years, was gone, and the city just started using contractors. I'm sure that will save them money long term . What chaps my ass is they hire the worst outfit, and they hacked up a bunch of 100+ year old sycamores downtown. I had my eye on those exact trees, and I wanted to keep them beautiful.
