My municipality had the position open for about that long and then decided after I applied to just end the position and hire out when they have an emergency. Beyond that, it seems that they aren't interested in taking care of the citt's trees anymore

We have about 140 employees in the division. Needs a good leader. I don't have that special piece of paper so they wont even consider me, even though I am filling half the requirements of the position. I don't want to have to deal with employee issues anyway.

Paper ceiling is real...4 years of banked info regurgitated onto a test vs. a life-long , continually learning career always seems to win out. (there are many exceptions to this statement) this is my experience
