hell yes. i have both and they're like different saws. the 338 very nearly keeps pace with the good old 020T, whereas the other little piece of cr#p is more like a heavier echo cs3000. don't get me wrong, the echos are my most used saws, but if ya pay for a more powerful saw ($200 more or so i think for the husky than the echo) you ought to feel the power difference.
not sure about the auto-start. i won mine in competition so i didn't do any product research before hand. i believe the difference between the 334 and the 338 is displacement, but i'm no engine expert. the 2 saws i have are easily $200 apart in performance though.
