I used to use one myself, but quickly tired of the "ring" noise that the ring would make. It was so noisy. I only use a carabiner on my bridge now.

My gatepost tree fell down in a storm yesterday. I need some removal ideas.

Guys, I'm gonna pull the tree out to safety before I cut it, I'm just using this opportunity to pick your brains a little. Don't worry about my inexperience, I'm not going to put myself in danger on this tree.

Help me understand this part of my fundamentals of tree work; Doesn't this situation fit the "overhead" label?

My gatepost tree fell down in a storm yesterday. I need some removal ideas.

Shouldn't the face cut (notch) be on the top side and the back cut be on the bottom? Wouldn't that allow for a slow close and collapse?

For the life of me I can't understand how some of you guys can act so confident regarding cuts to this tree. I look at this tree, and see that it's not on level ground, i can't tell if it's sprung one way or another, and I can't tell which way the top wants to roll. I'm not getting anywhere...

^thanks. The thought that I've had so far was to see if I could pull the bottom of the tree down and away from the stub and pull the tree out of the woods and deal with it on the ground.

My gatepost tree fell down in a storm yesterday. I need some removal ideas.

This leaning scrub pine was what my gate was attached to. It fell over and I need to cut it up. It looks pretty dangerous and I didn't immediately know how to handle it, so I thought I'd reach out to you folks and get some ideas. I do have a 7500lb tractor with a grapple as well as a full...

What do you hate spending money on the most?

For me, it was throw bags. I just couldn't stand buying throw bags. I've bought two though so far so I'm good now but I'll spend ridiculous money on all kinds of climbing gear but I hated buying throw bags.

I found the poison ivy/oak solution.

I've never felt the need to put any on my face before. I only need ankles, hands, wrists and arms...but I don't climb a tree with ivy on it, and the gel doesn't burn me. Are you sure you don't wanna just use the hand sanitizer gel?

I found the poison ivy/oak solution.

From a chemical perspective I think it would cut the grease as well, but it's not as easily dispensed as the pump gel is. I have one in the door of my car that I use after pumping gas too, and before I eat fast food...I've become a germaphobe since getting the flu 3 years ago. I wish some...
