Setting up the rope wrench with the hh pulley

[ QUOTE ] Quick question, what's the lil non locking biner for on the hh? [/ QUOTE ] On mine I use it to keep the legs and tether in place on the HC pulley as well as clipping either my lanyard into (over the shoulder) or neck loop/hand ascender tether to advance the system on ascent.

Setting up the rope wrench with the hh pulley

Hey Swing, tidy, same as my set up with spliced 8mm (OP thou). Having just the core of the HRC forming the eye probably adds a little more to how compact it is.

Setting up the rope wrench with the hh pulley

[ QUOTE ] Can someone give me a pic or something of setting up my zk2 rope wrench on the hitch hiker pulley? I am currently using the stiffy as a tether and make my own eye to eyes. I just don't have enough room on my carabiner to fit the eyes, the pulley, and the ocean (or stiffy) tether...

    Harness question?

Not sure about the RW/spiderjack combo. The RW/lockjack is being tried by a couple of guys in the UK with some success. LeviRockett has reiterated what I was told to a degree. If you do more pruning than take downs then the Treemotion, If you do more chunking out on spurs then the Ergovation...

    Ekka....tsk tsk!

My recollection was that Jeff worked for local government (council). I always thought that was odd as Eric seemed to have vendetta against most municipalities. Never met JayD junior, he'd retreat by the time I found TW. In any organisation the requirement for objective views is paramount...

LOL, the "door knockers", they were always banging on about that. It does happen like anywhere on the globe, I don't quite know what you can do about someone that really doesn't give a toss except encourage customers to go legit. Jeff Darby seemed to be OK on the phone, certainly not the alpha...

I believe that was Arborculture Australia. And if my memory serves me correctly the final spit was over fees. AA was putting a percentage on top of ISA for membership and was told to cut it out. Obviously they didn't ending in divorce. The ATA was started by Eric. He believed that local...

Someone pointed out to me that the Australian Tree Association web site has disappeared as well.

Company names: You could choose wrong

Three come to mind, not all tree related. 'The Tree Fella's' (3 climbing arborists) 'Rural Erections', his slogan 'have you had one yet?' (my mate owned this business in the Territory). 'Sly and Weagel' (My old boss worked for this legal firm as senior partner).

As you'd know. its a small pond this Trevmcrev. The ex director you speak off is the same that rang me the other day informing me of TW's demise. Certainly a fella with integrity.

All good Jomoco, I can't vouch personally for Joe Harris's production work as I've only met him once yet around the people I know and through the local industry his reputation is solid. I'm not technically proficient enough in rigging or cabling to offer criticism so I am guided somewhat by...

    Ekka....tsk tsk!

I think you'll find the clip "Spyderjackery" featuring Joe Harris demonstrating the ART Spiderjack is purely a device demonstration. Whilst it simulates a comp style environment the emphasis is on the device itself and its limitations (which in Joe's hands is few). Joe sells them over here...

    Ekka....tsk tsk!

Interesting thread, I too had my communication privileges removed from Treeworld, I spoke out for those that were banned for nothing more than having a differing opinion. "Ekka" would continue to run them down whilst removing any right of reply. I was also a foundation member of the Australian...
