    Kickin' it Old School

Has that pic been altered. The guy on the far left, doesn’t hardly seem the branch is large enough to support him. Maybe he’s a 110 pound fella.

    Fu*%face Von Clownstick

I am blown away nearly every year what the two main parties come up with for candidates. Very seldom in the election cycle do I vote for the winning candidate of the primaries. Then on Election Day it’s reduced to one of two paths you can get a vote for of what path the whole country will walk...

A vote is not a Valentine, you aren’t confessing your love for the candidate, it is a chess move for the world you want to live in.

    Echo rear handle recommendation

The 450 was the saw I was gonna get but they had just sold the last one, and my buddy was heavily recommending the 445, the one day I used it, it was flying thru Elm with the 18” bar. Elm isn’t any tough test for a saw by any means

    Echo rear handle recommendation

I just purchased a Husky 445 saw. It’s not a pro saw, but not the el cheapo homeowner class. A friend that cuts quite a bit has been running his for 8 years now and has had good luck. Mine has only seen a days worth of use, so no long term review from me. Seems like older 445 are 45 cc and the...

Wisdom: Share it (tree or other)

The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities. James Allen, For several years I’ve recorded quotes and wisdom I’ve read or...

    Good source for pruning education?

I appreciate all the links and info everyone has posted. I started watching the Gilman stuff on Educated Climber. Very informative. I’m at first grade level on this journey. Today a friend and I spent our day off cutting down a Dying Walnut up against a farmers house, then went to start cutting...

I just got a splicing kit, now what?

I’ve spliced one eye so far, and going to splice at least two more. I’ve always had a fascination with all things mechanical, rope has a lot of cool properties. The world was bound and tied together long before mechanical fasteners of any type were used. I could probably find some enjoyment in a...

I just got a splicing kit, now what?

Is the bag of rope from Treestuff, is it their random bits and pieces of rope? Thought about trying it, but was a bit unsure of how good or bad it might be how much they are asking for it. Thanks for any help.

    Good source for pruning education?

So I’m new to this tree climbing and pruning for healthy trees. I know a little and know there is a whole lot I don’t know. Anyone suggest books or YouTube channels that specify just on pruning. I know a few of the big YouTube channels that are all about chainsaws and tree cutting have some...

Adjustable bridge for Petzl Sequoia SRT

Will it work thru the original bridge location? Looks like it would need to be out towards the end of the ring like where your work positioning lanyard would clip in. Hope that question makes sense.

Adjustable bridge for Petzl Sequoia SRT

Thanks Brocky, I’m gonna give that a try when I get some of the 7/16” line here.

Adjustable bridge for Petzl Sequoia SRT

So I have been playing around with my HH2 with my Petzl Sequoia SRT. I’ve decided to try an adjustable bridge. Petzl makes one for the Sequoia, but looks like it’s made for the standard sequoia and that it would work on normal round rings, and not ideal for the SRT version. Robert Mumford has...
